Today, we're going to learn some important words and phrases, so that you can order your next cup of coffee in English. Let's first look at some words you'll need to know when ordering your morning cup.

When You Are at Starbucks
在具體點(diǎn)多大杯的咖啡時(shí)，星巴克有一套自己的術(shù)語，從小到大依次為：
Short: 小杯 （僅熱飲）
Tall: 中杯
Grande: 大杯
Venti: 特大杯
Trenta: 超大杯 （僅冷飲）
當(dāng)然，直接說small, medium, large 或 extra-large，店員也會(huì)明白你的意思。
Different Types of Coffee
At a coffee shop, drinks are usually made from espresso. An espresso is a small amount of very strong coffee. This small amout is called a shot. This espresso is then drunk on its own or mixed in different ways to make the different coffee drinks. '
以下咖啡都是以意式濃縮咖啡做基底，再輔以水、其他材料而成。
Cappuccino
Cappuccino = double espresso shots + steamed milk + milk foam
卡布奇諾 = 2杯濃縮咖啡+ 熱牛奶 + 奶泡
It is similar to Macchiato but the milk that is used to prepare it is slightly cooler than macchiato, but the amount of milk in it is of the same level as that of macchiato. The amount of time required to prepare it is 3 minutes.
卡布奇諾類似于瑪奇朵，但是做卡布奇諾時(shí)所用的牛奶溫度略低，但是用量相同。3分鐘便可做好一杯哦！
Latte
Latte = espresso + steam milk + milk foam
拿鐵 = 濃縮咖啡 + 熱牛奶 + 奶泡
In Italian, cafe latte means coffee and milk, which defines the purpose of how it is prepared. Usually, baristas could make different shapes with the latte foam.
在意大利語中，latte意為咖啡加牛奶?？Х葞熆梢杂媚描F奶泡拉出不同的花樣。
Americano
Americano = espresso + water
美式咖啡 = 濃縮咖啡 + 水
How strong you prepare the americano depends on the number of shots you add to it and also the quantity of hot water to it. In Italy, even filtered coffee is added in lieu of hot water with the espresso shot.
美式咖啡是否濃烈取決于所加的濃縮咖啡以及用水量。在意大利，甚至以過濾咖啡代替熱水。
Mocha
Mocha = espresso + steamed milk + chocolate syrup
摩卡 = 濃縮咖啡 + 熱牛奶 + 巧克力糖漿
It takes approximately 15 minutes to prepare cafe mocha. Mocha is an American coffee drink which is similar to cafe latte with the only difference that chocolate syrup and/ or chocolate powder is added to it. Sometimes they are also served with whipped cream and marshmallows and dusted with cinnamon powder.
調(diào)制一杯摩卡一般需要15分鐘。摩卡類似于拿鐵，只不過多加了巧克力糖漿或巧克力粉。 有時(shí)，摩卡也會(huì)搭配鮮奶油、棉花糖、肉桂粉。
Macchiato
Macchiato = espresso + milk foam

Frappuccino
Frappuccino = ice + espresso + milk + syrup + whipped cream

Frappuccino was a signature drink of Starbucks but is now available in almost all local coffee shops. It takes somewhere between 5 to 10 minutes to prepare it.
星冰樂曾是星巴克的旗艦飲品，而如今在許多其他咖啡廳也可以點(diǎn)到這款飲品。通常需要5到10分鐘調(diào)制。

以下為Starbucks咖啡杯上不同英文單詞含義：
Decaf: 低咖啡因咖啡
Shot: 濃縮咖啡計(jì)量單位
Syrup: 糖漿 （caramel 焦糖/ hazelnut榛子/ vanilla 香草）
Milk: 牛奶 （Whole milk 全脂奶/ non-fat milk 脫脂奶/ soy milk豆奶）
Custom: 客制化 （no foam 無泡/ no whipped cream 無奶油）
Drink: 飲料名稱
